Last Sunday, I received an email from an organization that grants wishes. They had an 11 year old boy, who is terminal with bone cancer who wanted to live a life of the rich and famous. They had a house rented for him for this weekend and that is it. I went into crazy planning mode. With the help of awesome vendors, we planned a great weekend! He rode in style with transpiration provided by @rockstar_limo, ate like a king with food from @gloriousaffairs, went to @audrainautomuseum and the breakers for private tours and photos taken by @jennifernevesphotography. He had his own ice cream provided by @benandjerrys, desserts from @scrumptions_inc and my parents provided a candy bar. Please pray for Lou and his family during this extremely difficult time, as they really need our prayers.

Kathy and Steve-Oceancliff
I had such a wonderful time working with Kathy and Steve. They were from New York and Kathy and I worked on the wedding for about 1 1/2 years. After viewing a couple of different venues, they immediately fell in love with Oceancliff and the great team there. It had everything that they needed and wanted for their wedding. I worked with them to match them with the perfect vendors for their wedding day, which included, Jennifer Neves Photography, Mike Picard Videography, Heavenly Weddings,Sayles Livingston Designs, Night Rhythm, JF3 Salon, and Scrumptions. With a great team on their side, everything was absolutely seamless. They had a gorgeous October day and could not have asked for a better back drop. Their friend hired a painter to paint the first dance scene and it was amazing to watch. Congratulations to Kathy and Steve!

Martha and Gerry-50th Wedding Anniversary-1149 Restaurant
I got to step our of our wedding world and plan such a wonderful anniversary party for Martha and Gerry. They celebrated this momentous event with 80 of their closest friends and family at the 1149 Restaurant in East Greenwich. Sherri from Stoneblossoms provided the beautiful floral arrangements, while Art in Ice, provided the ice sculpture. They had decided on doing a traditional Italian meal First everyone enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres, then they had antipasto, Italian Wedding soup , pasta and finally the entree. I do not believe that any guest left hungry that night. Especially with the dessert being cake from Scrumptions and Wandies and Italian cookies from Wandies by Pina. After dinner, guests rolled out of their chairs and onto the dance floor with Amanda Carr from MBeatable Music. What an amazing celebration to honor a great couple!

Guests had a variety of foods, including a raw bar, lobster, filet and many other delicious items, with an outstanding staff. Dessert was a cake provided by Scrumptions as well as mini pastries provided by the restaurant. Oggi photography was onsite to capture the special moments together with family and friends. Waterfire set the backdrop for the event, and the guests had the best seats for viewing.

Paula and Christian at The Aldrich Mansion
What a beautiful June day we had to celebrate Paula and Christian's wedding day. They had a small, intimate ceremony that was held at the chapel at The Aldrich Mansion. Instead of a traditional sit down meal, the couple decided to have a variety of stations, open throughout the evening for guests to enjoy. Their first dance was on the veranda of the mansion, overlooking Narragansett Bay. Guests (including the couples dog, Danny)enjoyed a delicious cake from Scrumptions for dessert and danced to the music from Moondance Productions. Congratulations, Christian and Paula.

Erin and Jeff, Newport Hyatt
What a beautiful fall day at the Hyatt for Erin and Jeff's wedding. They were able to enjoy their ceremony outside and were able to take gorgeous pictures at the Elms in Newport. The couple wanted to enjoy their cocktail hour and opted for the raw bar to satisfy Jeff's New Englands roots. Erin included so many personal touches including photos and display notes. They had a fabulous dinner and some wonderful desserts provided by Scrumptions, including a fun groom's cake. The guests were on the dance floor most of the night with music provided by Music Mixers. Guests were treated to a late night snack of pizza and sliders. Congrats to Erin and Jeff!

Amanda and Joe, October 6, 2012 Newport Hyatt
On October 6th, 2012, Amanda and Joe were married
at Salve Regina University’s Our Lady of Mercy Chapel with their reception
being held at the Newport Hyatt Hotel. This
wedding was many years in the making as Amanda and Joe first met when they were
11 years old and reconnected as adults!
From
beginning to end this wedding was elegant with many fall accents and details. When guests first arrived at the hotel they
were treated to Out of Town Boxes provided by New England Invitations with a
Newport theme. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with tears of joy from
many! Bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses, that were stunning and their bouquets
from Stoneblossom were exquisite. After
their ceremony, the bridal party hit the town on the trolley provided by Rockstar Limo to take pictures
throughout Newport with their photographer Jennifer Neves.
The reception
was absolutely gorgeous and fit perfectly into the fall theme. The centerpieces, created by Stoneblossom
Florist, was a scape of gorgeous flowers that had branches that protruded out
it in every direction. On the end of
these branches hung oil based votive that truly twinkled in the dim room. The lines were a crinkled cloth in pistachio
and were matched with walnut chiavari ballroom chairs. The table numbers were
replaced with different venues in Newport, instead of table one the guests
would be sitting at the Rosecliff or Newport Bridge table.
Keeping to
the fall theme, each guest was given a miniature apple pies tied with a delicate
chocolate brown ribbon as a favor provided by Scrumptions. The
women were also given pashminas for their shoulders on such a chilly
night.
Aside from
the beautiful fall theme, it’s safe to say that the main attraction at this
wedding was the food. Guests enjoyed a
cocktail hour complete with a plethora of passed appetizers, a raw bar, and a
soup station. They then moved onto a
four-course dinner, which included a salad, antipasto, entree, and of course,
cake for dessert. As the night drew on
and guests danced they were offered what the couple came to a “late night
snack.” This late night snack included
pizza and deli sandwiches.
