Jaclyn and Jason-Quidnessett Country Club

Jaclyn and Jason had so many gorgeous details for their wedding at Quidnessett Country Club.  The florals by Michelle Jeanne Floral Design, were absolutely stunning. The food was plentiful, including an Awful Awful truck provided by Newport Creamery.  When you have M Studios, as your photographer, it is always a good time as they provide a fun, relaxed environment for any couple.  Congratulations to Jaclyn and Jason!

Giving Back 2020

Last Sunday, I received an email from an organization that grants wishes. They had an 11 year old boy, who is terminal with bone cancer who wanted to live a life of the rich and famous. They had a house rented for him for this weekend and that is it. I went into crazy planning mode. With the help of awesome vendors, we planned a great weekend! He rode in style with transpiration provided by @rockstar_limo, ate like a king with food from @gloriousaffairs, went to @audrainautomuseum and the breakers for private tours and photos taken by @jennifernevesphotography. He had his own ice cream provided by @benandjerrys, desserts from @scrumptions_inc and my parents provided a candy bar. Please pray for Lou and his family during this extremely difficult time, as they really need our prayers.

Hope is not cancelled...

It is August, I have not done a wedding since October 2019.  This is the longest I have gone without a wedding in 15 years.  In this time, I feel like a part of me is missing. I love what I do, I am passionate about my work, I truly love the connection with my clients and I have established such wonderful and meaningful relationships with vendors over the years, not seeing them has been difficult.  But we have to hold on top hope, that we will get past this difficult time and watch the joy on couples faces as they say their vows.  We have to embrace the micro weddings, because for the time being, they are what is possible. In an uncertain time, we have to have hope that the love of couples about to be married will prevail and they will embrace the changes that the wedding will now have. In the end, what really matters is the love between two people, looking to share a lifetime together. For now, we have hope, we have to hold on to that with all we can.  I miss you all and can't wait to share in your memories soon.

Erin and Ben-Glen Manor House

Glen Manor House is one of my absolute favorite venue to be at so I am always excited to work there. Erin and Ben were planning a long distance wedding from Arizona and I worked with them so they could come here the weekend of the wedding, enjoy their family and friends and not worry about anything. Erin shipped me as many items as she had prior to the wedding so that she did not have to worry about packing anything or bringing additional luggage with her. What I love most about the Glen, is that you can really make it your own. There are so many places you can personalize and Erin and Ben really loved candlelight. I think it is the most candles I have ever seen there but it gave the house a beautiful soft warm glow to it, it was absolutely gorgeous. The food was provided by Glorious Affairs and they did an outstanding job with all that was offered.  Blooming Blossoms was the florist and as always Pam and her team did an amazing job. Congratulations to Erin and Ben!

Kyle and Kate-The Landing

When Kate and I first met and she told me they were getting married in a public park in Newport, I panicked. I wasn't sure they they could keep it private, that people would not be in the space and that there would be so many onlookers that it wouldn't have the same feel.  I think on the day of the wedding, I must have checked on the site 25 times and when I knew they were on time and doing pictures with the photographer, I parked myself in the seats to make sure everything was all set! We laid out a great plan and it worked out flawlessly. After the ceremony, everyone headed down the hill to the Landing.  The closed down the outdoor space for the reception, and it was a perfect day to be right on the water. The cocktail hour was loaded with food, I don't think a guest was hungry for dinner.  However, with an amazing lobster dinner, I think they all somehow managed to fit it in.  Once dinner was over, they were on the dance floor most of the evening and did an entire dessert buffet from Gregg's Restaurant. I do not think there was one cake that they were missing.. I thought this was such a fantastic different idea! Guests could have their choice of cakes and they didn't have to have just one. A dessert heaven for sure! A wonderful day for a wonderful couple! Congrats again to Kyle and Kate!

Lauren and Robyn-Belle Mer

I always say, we can control almost anything on the wedding day except Mother Nature.  On Lauren and Robyn's wedding day, she opened up the skies.  While it did foil their plans for outside pre-ceremony photos, it did not damper spirits.  By the time the ceremony was over, the sky cleared over Belle Mer and they were able to get gorgeous shots outside. The personal touches they had were so much fun.  Instead of a traditional guest book, they opted for Jenga pieces, since this was a game that had significance to them.  And at the end of the night, when everyone is on the dance floor, why not surprise them with Ben and Jerry's ice cream sundaes.  This was such a hit with their guests.  The guests also got to enjoy the mirror photobooth, provided by Luke Renchan Entertainment.  Congratulations to Lauren and Robyn!

Todd and Amy-Northbeach Clubhouse

Amy was probably the most thorough bride I have ever had.   Todd and Amy were married at The Northbeach Clubhouse in Narragansett, RI. They had many of the traditional Jewish ceremonies incorporated into their wedding day and had a wonderful program to explain all these traditions to their guests. Although, they stayed at the Clubhouse for their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. They transformed each space so that is was unique and different from how it previously looked. The food was catered by West Bay Gourmet, due to the bride's celiac disease, all of the food had to be gluten free, and West Bay Gourmet, did an amazing job.  Florals were done by Flowerthyme and music and photobooth were provided by Luke's ENT. Congratulations Todd and Amy!

Lauren and Matt-Blithewold Mansion

Lauren and Matt had such a beautiful day for their July wedding. Both the bride and groom got ready at the Renaissance Hotel in Providence and wanted to do a first look at the State House in Providence.  After their first look and some photos at the State House, they were off to Blithewold to continue their photos. The tent at Blithewold was completely transformed by Sayles Livingston and Exquisite Events, it was absolutely stunning. After their ceremony that was officiated by a close friend, they were off to the reception under the tent with outstanding food provided by Blackstone Caterers. The Sugarbabies performed and had everyone on the dance floor the entire evening.  If guests were not on the dance floor, they were hanging out in the lounge area. Scott Zuehlke was the photographer and he took some magnificent photos of this great couple and location. Congrats again to Lauren and Matt!

Angela and Jason, Providence Biltmore

The Providence Biltmore set the stage for Angela and Jason's October wedding. Although, they had planned for a ceremony outside on the terrace,  Mother Nature was not working with us on that day. After a quick trip to the State House for some photos, they couple was married inside at The Biltmore.  After the ceremony, guest made their way upstairs to L'Apogee for cocktail hour, where they were served a number of hors d'oeuvres and enjoyed the music of LRE Entertainment.  Once into the ballroom, guests were served a delicious meal and entertained by the staff for their famous dessert presentation. Congratulations to Angela and Jason!
